About the Author
Ralph Fischer ist Inhaber und Cheftrainer der M.A.A.F. Schwenningen und betreibt seit über 35 Jahren verschiedene Kampfsport und Kampfkunstsysteme. Er begann seine Kampfsport/Kampfkunst-Ausbildung im Alter von 10 Jahren mit dem westlichen Ringen. Hier wurde er bereits nach 2 Jahren Training in die zweite Bundesliga vom AB-Aichhalden verpflichtet und unter Vertrag genommen. Unter anderem erlernte er auch 3,5 Jahre lang das Wing Tsun Kung Fu bis in die Oberstufe. Aber auch mit Boxen, Ju.Jutsu, Judo und Karate hat er sich eine Zeit lang beschäftigt, bis er den Weg zum Jeet Kune Do und Inosanto Kali fand. Er ist Diplom Fachsport-Pädagoge besitzt mehrere Instruktor- und Prüferlizenzen für Jeet Kune Do, Inosanto-Kali, Brazilian Ji-Jitsu, Kickboxen und MMA und ist berechtigt selbst Lehrer in Kickboxen und MMA auszubilden. Seit 2013 vertritt er noch die Ämter als Sportdirektor und Bundestrainer für MMA und Grappling. In seiner Wettkampflaufbahn, wo er über 350 Kämpfe im Ringen und Kickboxen bestritt, konnte er mehrere nationale und Internationale Titel erkämpfen. Auch an drei Weltrekorden hat er erfolgreich teilgenommen. Im Jahr 2009 wurde er von einem Internationalen Kampfkunst Magazin zum Instruktor of the Year gewählt und in einem Internationalen Buch mit einer Action Sammelkarte abgelichtet und in die Hall of Fame aufgenommen. 2010 wurde er dann erneut für seine 30 Jährige Arbeit als Wettkämpfer und Trainer mit der Hall of Fame Aufnahme ausgezeichnet. Im Jahr 2013 wurde er von Europas bekanntester Ruhmenshalle für verdiente Kampfsportler, der Munich Hall of Honour als Botschafter der Kampfkünste zum Instructor of the Year gewählt und zusammen mit Cynthia „Lady Dragon" Rothrock ausgezeichnet. Im April 2014 wurde seine überaus erfolgreiche Academy ebenfalls für Ihre Leistungen unter anderem WM, EM, und DM Titel im Amateur und Profibereich von der Munich Hall of Fame geehrt und ausgezeichnet. Von 2008 bis zum Jahr 2011 unterrichtete er noch zusätzlich als Dozent für Selbstverteidigung an der Volkshochschule Villingen-Schwenningen. A good way to pass an afternoon

I liked this one. I've read most of the yaoi novels June has put out, and honestly didn't expect much from this one. I figured it would be a torrid desert romance like that other sheik book they released. But I was pleasantly surprised. The uke was still a stubborn wimpy guy, but the story was more interesting. Much of it takes place in the desert on a fairly realistic journey. You can tell the author did her research because the details were more gritty than romanticized (and I appreciated her addressing the fact that the Muslim religion forbids homosexuality).

I liked the couple. The seme was the cool, powerful, sexy kind I like, and the sexual tension was pretty hot. There wasn't much sex, but then I'd rather have well written sexual tension than a bunch of sex scenes slapped together. The uke, while annoying at times, was someone I wanted to see tamed so that was entertaining too.

Also, I have to say the illustrations added a lot to my enjoyment. I love Ai Hasukawa's Love Control, and her pictures here continued her tradition of sexy men that enhanced the story. So I'd recommend this for someone looking for a decent BL novel that will take you away to another land.

I've read almost every yaoi novel published here in the U.S., and this novel wasn't the worst, but certainly not the best. One thing I did like was that the attraction between the characters is drawn out. There is a lot of one sided sexual tension, and the only love scene is at the very end. It does have the traditional color page, which was gorgeous. It really is an okay read. Apparently its part of a series of books with similar themes, but I've yet to find out if the others have been published here in the States.

easy, fun yaoi read

Well, after being a HUGE Ai Hasukawa fan ( love control 1 and 2) I confess outright her name was what attracted me to this book. I was pleasantly surprised.

I read 'Eternal Love' and was like, sheesh, okay, another sexy Middle Eastern man meets a curious Japanese man and they fall in love against all odds...but I REALLY liked this one. The author made it a point to a) mention that homosexuality is not allowed in Muslim religion and b) make the part where the prideful uke is kidnapped believable and funny to me, because he is very spoiled and naive despite being rich. Our 'Desert Hawk' and the little brat of an uke make for an interesting tension filled story and they don't actually do anything about it until the very end, which I liked. It kept the rhythm of the story going and made me want to finish...and believe me, it was worth the wait of the entire story.

Overall, I would reccomend this to anyone that wanted a quick yaoi read. And the artwork is GORGEOUS.

This is advice for charlatans, by charlatans

The wingnuts of the religious right now have a manual advising them how to push their political agenda under the guise of tax-exempt church. Except the advice tendered by these crackpot authors is dubious at best, and will likely land the reader who follows it in jail. It's unbelievable how little it takes to become an "authority" on anything these days.

Needed knowledge

Just a quick note about this book, 'The Kitchen Table Book'. I'm one who grew up with a grandmother, that was raised in the country and in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Dr's were either not available or came at a premium. Hence, a lot of 'cures' came from home remedies and basic nutrition. This book shows in detail the benefits from the foods and spices we normally consume. It fits very well with what my grandmother was raised with and what she imparted to us along the way. It is the kind of book that should be on every kitchen table and followed as to daily nutrition. By utilizing the knowledge found in these pages, one should be able to reduce the need for doctor visits, with the exception of catastrophic events. By understanding the health benefits for the various foods, most people should be able to maintain good health without the use of supplements and multiple, doctor-prescribed medications. This book is a great guide towards that goal.

for the faint at heart

overall the book is pretty good. i recomend for those who need an added boost or need a good motivation to start exercising. could be used as a power of positive thinking type book as well. For the experienced athlete, you've heard or been trained to think this way anyway, so, i recommend this book for the beginner or as a motivation to begin working out..

About the Author
Stephen Arroyo (born October 6, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri) is an American author and astrologer. Arroyo has written seven books on psychologically oriented astrology which outline his theory that the individual's experience of the Solar System's impacts on their personal energy field, both psychological and physical. His works recast astrological concepts in psychological terms, and reject what he perceives as the fatalism and negativity of old-fashioned astrology. His books have now been translated into 20 languages. Regarding his written works, the Library Journal stated: "The simplicity and clarity of his treatment of complex ideas is remarkable; it makes accessible even to the beginner a wealth of understanding....giving meaningful psychological grounding to astrological interpretation."[citation needed] Arroyo has been guest speaker at events in the North America and Europe, and has taught astrology courses in the United States. He has been awarded the British Astrological Association Astrology Prize, the Fraternity of Canadian Astrologers' International Sun Award, and the United Astrology Congress's Regulus Award. He has an honors degree in literature from the University of California and a Masters Degree in Psychology. Previous occupations include marriage counseling, and the practice of a homeopathy and polarity therapy.

Great Book, Great Author, One Small Complaint

This book, like all of Arroyo's astrology books, is incredibly insightful and should be read by every astrologer (though it's probably best to tackle at the intermediate level rather than as a beginner). I don't share the author's take on every topic, but he is one of my favorite astrologers to read and I always benefit from his writing. He has made me a better astrologer in so many ways. My only real complaint is that Arroyo often skips a lot of information, saying the content has already been adequately covered by other authors, and including footnotes with their books and pamphlets. Since the book was first published in the 70's, a lot of those books/pamphlets are out of print and tough to find. This can leave some pretty big holes that are hard to fill more than 30 years later. In any case, this book (ALL of Arroyo's books) should be on every astrologer's shelf; whether your style is similar to his or completely different, you will definitely grow as an astrologer.

Astrology, Karma & Transformation by Stephen Arroyo

This book takes a positive, helpful view of the topic of karma as it can be understood through astrology. There is a particular focus on the outer planets, including a description of their aspects and transits. In each section, Arroyo moves from the general concepts to a more specific cook-book listing of the planets. He discusses karmic relationships through analyzing synastry and progressions, and includes a special chapter on the Ascendant and Midheaven axes. Arroyo refers to Edgar Cayce's view of reincarnation and planetary influences on a particular incarnation. This book provides an exceptionally accessible viewpoint, in the sense that it approaches karma as patterns to be recognized through the astrological counseling process, rather than encouraging specious speculation about specific past lives. A book recommended for astrologers who seek to include an evolutionary spiritual element in their style of interpretation without sounding like Madame Lazonga.
